Inspiring families who have escaped domestic violence to embrace wholeness, by providing for their transitional needs.
JudyGails Place is a non-profit organization that supports New Mexico families who have escaped from a violent partner. JudyGails Place networks with community members to provide resources that ensure families have access to thriving futures that reach far beyond surviving.
Why transitional services?
The main goal of JudyGails Place is to help survivors of intimate partner violence to obtain a healthy self-sufficient future.
We work to victims imagine a future they couldn't reach when they were simply struggling to survive. JudyGails encourages each member of the family to talk and think about what they feel success is and break down the steps that they need to take to help get them get there, while encouraging them to take as many steps as they can without help. Most of the families we work with have simply forgotten how to make some decisions or they are overwhelmed and need help choosing what next step they want to take.
JudyGails sees it as our ultimate goal to help survivors remember that they have a bright independent future that is going to take them far beyond surviving.
